A notebook (notepad, writing pad, drawing pad, legal pad) is a small book or binder of paper pages, often ruled, used for purposes such as recording notes or memoranda, writing, drawing, or scrapbooking.
Paper notebooks can be distinguished by:
Form factor (size and weight)
Binding and cover material (including printing and graphics)
Pre-printed material on writing surfaces (lines, graphics, text)
According to a legend, Thomas W. Holley of Holyoke, Massachusetts, invented the legal pad around the year 1888 when he innovated the idea to collect all the sortings, various sort of substandard paper scraps from various factories, and stitch them together in order to sell them as pads at an affordable and fair price. In about 1900, the latter then evolved into the modern legal pad when a local judge requested for a margin to be drawn on the left side of the paper. This was the first legal pad.
The only technical requirement for this type of stationery to be considered a true "legal pad" is that it must have margins of 1.25inches (3.17 centimeters) from the left edge of legal pad. Here, the margin, also known as down lines, is room used to write notes or comments. Legal pads usually have a gum binding at the top as opposed to a spiral or stitched binding.

Tie-ups and theme songs
"Teppen" was used as the theme song to Fuji TV's coverage of the Women's Volleyball World Grand Prix 2005.
Pacific is primarily a complete course with techniques, tips and tools applicable to learning how to become a leader. The contribution of the secrets on leadership of over 200 leading executives and CEOs (whom we interviewed) as well as Gamelearn's 15 years of experience in corporate training guarantee Pacific's theoretical approach, which is based on six key notions:
Providing meaning to teamwork
Building a team to face synergies
The correct delegation of tasks
Feedback and coaching to boost teams
Gamelearn's developers decided to set the story in an environment of survival and cooperation: a group of people that are lost on an island in the Pacific. A favorable setting to explain the benefits of teamwork and staying motivated.
